Susan L. Ingraham

Susan L. Ingraham, 72, a resident of Milford, NH, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on May 30, 2025.

She was born in Fitchburg, MA, on April 14, 1953, the daughter of William and Ethel (Hartwell) Tapply. Susan was raised and educated in Lunenburg, MA, and earned her Bachelor of Science in Career Development from The College of Lifelong Learning. She also held a paralegal certification.

Susan discovered her passion for resume writing while working as a caseworker for youth in need at the Youth Empowerment Program in Manchester, NH. That experience inspired her to launch her own business, Resumes by Ingraham, with the support of her daughter, Melissa.

Her very first client—a law enforcement officer—serendipitously sparked her specialization in crafting resumes for first responders, military personnel, and professionals in protective services. Susan had a remarkable gift for drawing out each client’s unique strengths and telling their story with confidence and clarity.

Susan is survived by her husband of 46 years, William L. Ingraham, and their two daughters, Melissa Ingraham (Matt) of Greenfield, NH, and Meghan Elliott (Bob) of Lunenburg, MA. Through her marriage to William, she was also blessed with two additional children, Carl Ingraham (Debbie) and Tracy Riendeau (Allan).

She is remembered with love by her devoted sister and best friend, Cindy Letarte (Chuck), and “her boys” — Jeremy, Jesse, and Jarrod Letarte. Her legacy lives on through her beloved sisters-in-law, Elaine Velasquez (Angel) and Nadine Allen (Jack), as well as many cherished grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, extended family members, and lifelong friends who meant the world to her.

Susan is predeceased by her parents William R. and Ethel M. (Hartwell) Tapply, her brother William R Tapply Jr, and her sister, Joyce J. Bingham.

There will be no services at this time.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her honor to Waypoint NH | Human Services & Advocacy for New Hampshire in, which offers services similar to those once provided by the Youth Empowerment Program.
