Shirley M. Joyner, 81, resident of Hooksett, NH, died November 3, 2008 at Elliot Hospital, Manchester, NH.� She was born in Milford, NH on March 18, 1927, a daughter of the late James McIntosh who immigrated to the U.S. from Aberdeen, Scotland and Frances (Murphy) McIntosh, a Milford native.� She graduated from Milford High School, Class of 1945 and attended Vespa George School of Art, Boston, MA.� She was an accomplished pianist and artist.� Mrs. Joyner resided in Hooksett for 5 years and formerly lived in Manchester, NH for 10 years and Milford for many years.�S he had been employed as a secretary for Nashua Corporation, Nashua, NH.� While living in Milford, she was a member of the Milford United Methodist Church.� Mrs. Joyner was a loving mother and a devoted grandmother.� She was known for her compassion and generosity to others.� She was predeceased by her husband of 59 years, Eldred Joyner and by a sister, Flora McIntosh.� Family members include two daughters, Christy L. White of Manchester, NH, Kerry L. Trombly of Hooksett, NH; a son, Scott Joyner of Nashua, NH; three grandchildren, Andrew Trombly of Manchester, NH, Ryan Trombly of Hooksett, NH and Liam Joyner of Milford, NH; a sister, Ruth Odell of Newport, NH; several nieces and nephews.������ A visiting hour will be held on Friday, November 7th from 12:00-1:00 pm�in the Smith & Heald Funeral Home, 63 Elm Street, Milford, NH.� Funeral services will follow at 1:00 pm.� Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery, Milford.� Donations in her memory may be made to the Milford United Methodist Church, 327 North River Road, P.O. Box 476, Milford, NH� 03055.�
