Shirley Ann Ethridge, 78, resident of Milford, died August 22, 2008 at her home, with her family by her side, following a courageous battle with cancer.� She was born in Amherst, NH on March 27, 1930, to Warren & Eva (Bowers) Hall.� She graduated from Nashua High School, Class of 1948.� Mrs. Ethridge resided in Milford for more than 50 years and wintered in Florida for many years.� She had been employed as an operator for New England Telephone Company, a bookkeeper for William A. Smith, Inc. Auctioneer and for Kenmore Stamp.� She was an avid collector of antiques, enjoyed reading and spending time with family and friends.� Mrs. Ethridge was an active member of the Milford United Methodist Church and a member of the Puritan-Charity-Themis-Atlantic Chapter #29, Order of Eastern Star.� Family members include her husband of 57 years, Charles E. "Chick" Ethridge of Milford, NH; a son and daughter-in-law, Timothy & Bonny Ethridge of Leominster, MA; a daughter, Cynthia Rutherford of Haverhill, MA; four grandchildren; three great grandchildren; two brothers, Frank Hall of Fredericksburg, VA and Chet Hall of Amherst, NH; several nieces and nephews.������� Visiting hours are Monday, August 25th from 2-4 & 6-8 pm in the Smith & Heald Funeral Home, 63 Elm Street, Milford, NH.� Funeral services will be held on Tuesday at 10:30 am in the Milford United Methodist Church, 327 North River Road, Milford, NH.� Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery, Milford.� In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to Home, Health & Hospice, 22 Prospect Street, Nashua, NH� 03060 or Milford United Methodist Church Building Fund, P.O. Box 476, Milford, NH� 03055.�
