Sandra J. Pollock, 55, resident of Ewing, NJ, died April 12, 2012 at Capital Health Medical Center-Hopewell in Pennington, New Jersey. She was born in Nashua, NH on June 9, 1956, a daughter of Robert B. Pollock of Wilton, NH and the late Charlotte H. (McCallum) Pollock. Sandra was raised and educated in Wilton, NH, graduating from Wilton Lyndeborough High School, Class of 1974. She earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Veterinary Medicine from the University of New Hampshire. She made her home in New Jersey for the past 20 years. Sandra worked with horses for 40 years as both a breeder and trainer of Harness Horses and was instrumental in the founding of an organization that cared for retired race horses. She had also been employed at several breeding farms in New Jersey, including Hanover Farms. Sandra loved to ski and in her earlier years she was a ski instructor at Temple Mountain. In addition to her father, family members include two brothers, Scott W. Pollock and his wife, Karen Hatch of Hampton, NH, John H. Pollock and his companion, Clare McCarthy of Wilton, NH; a niece, Terra Hatch and a nephew, Nicholas Hatch, both of Hampton, NH; several aunts, uncles and cousins. There are no visiting hours. A graveside service will be held on May 5th at 11:00 am in Laurel Hill Cemetery, Abbott Hill Road, Wilton, NH. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to your local chapter of SPCA (Society for the Protection of Cruelty to Animals).
