Ronald B. Berwick, 80, longtime resident of Amherst, NH, died on December 14, 2013 at the Community Hospice House, Merrimack, NH, after a long battle with Parkinson’s Disease. He was born in Grasmere, NH, a son of the late Bert E. and Mary E. (Whitney) Berwick. He lived his life in Amherst. Ronald was a farmer and worked for The Noble Farm in Amherst for 43 years. He started when he was 16 years old, would ride his bike to work until he got his license and a car. He had to stop working in 1992 due to the progression of his Parkinson’s Disease. Ronald loved animals and raised cows, pigs, chickens and goats. He loved being outside doing things. He also enjoyed watching TV, old cowboy movies, playing cards and cribbage. In addition, he liked going for rides, visiting people and going out to eat. He loved children and did a lot with his nieces and nephews. He was a good, caring man and worked hard all his life, always helping others. Ronald was predeceased by a sister, Leona Goodwin of Maine. Family members include a brother and sister-in-law, Andrew and Claire Berwick of Milford, NH; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Rita (Berwick) and Robert Grugnale of Amherst, with whom he made his home for many years, Hilda and Thomas Wiggin of Peterborough, NH; many nieces, nephews and cousins. Burial will be in Laurel Hill Cemetery, Wilton, in the spring. In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to the Amherst EMS, P.O.
