Roderick M. Smith

Roderick Melville Smith was born on June 5, 1953, and died during the night of June 23-24, 2022, shortly after he turned 69 years old. Roderick was raised in Groton, Massachusetts. At age 40 he moved to Amherst, New Hampshire, where he lived until his death. Roderick loved driving and exploring the back roads of New England. The allure of camping was a strong draw on his heart. Roderick spent his last years caring for his elderly mother. Roderick passed away during the night the day after his mother’s funeral. Roderick is survived by his two brothers, Duncan and Russell. There are no services. Arrangements are in the care of Smith & Heald Funeral Home, 63 Elm Street, Milford.
