Robert H. Roy

Robert H. Roy, 83, resident of Bedford, NH, died on July 26, 2025, after a period of declining health.

He was born on March 31, 1942, in Goffstown, NH, a son of the late Hector and Rose (Pouliot) Roy.

Robert was raised and educated in Manchester, NH. He faithfully served his country in the United States Air Force and was honorably discharged. Robert started his career as a test engineer at Sanders Associates where he worked for many years until retiring from BAE Systems. He married his wife, the late Maureen (Dempsey) Roy, and together made their home in Manchester and Nashua raising their family.

He enjoyed spending time with his loving wife and family, listening to music, tinkering with electronics, computers and flight simulators, and learning about the mysteries of space and the universe. He also enjoyed the ocean and lighthouses and traveling with his wife.

Robert is predeceased by his wife and son, and is survived by close family, daughters Laraine and Marybeth, and sister-in-law Kathleen, and a large extended family. Above all, Robert was a devoted and loving husband and father and a good man. His greatest happiness was his wife and his family takes solace that they are eternally together again.

SERVICES: A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Thursday, July 31, 2025, at 10:00 AM in the St. John Neumann Church, 708 Milford Road, Merrimack, NH. Burial will follow in the Riverside Cemetery, Milford. All are invited to meet directly at church the morning of mass.
