Raymond F. Martel, 81, resident of Milford, NH, died November 18, 2008 at the Elliot Hospital, Manchester, NH.� He was born in Milford on February 23, 1927, a son of the late Hector & Lamina (Liberty) Martel.� Mr. Martel was raised and educated in Milford.� A self-employed electrical contractor for more than 30 years, he owned and operated Raymond Martel Electric.� Mr. Martel was a member of the Church of Our Saviour, Milford and had been an acolyte director, served on numerous church committees and was the founder of "Outside In", a coffee house for young people at the church.� In addition, he was a member of the Milford Lions Club.� He was a U.S. Army Air Corp veteran having served during World War II.� Mr. Martel was predeceased by his wife, Beverly A. (Fisk) Martel, who died in 2006 and his granddaughter, Amanda M. Martel and three brothers, Kenneth, Earl and Leonard Martel.� Family members include his son and daughter-in-law, Jeffrey & Frances Martel of Milford, NH; four grandchildren, Sean, Stephanie, Bryan and Kaylie; and a great granddaughter, Alessandra Martel; a brother-in-law, Jack W. Fisk of Milford, NH; several nieces and nephews.� There are no visiting hours.� A graveside service will be held on Saturday, November 22nd at 10:00 am in Riverside Cemetery, Nashua Street, Milford, NH.� In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to Milford United Methodist Church, P.O. Box 476, Milford, NH� 03055, ATTN: The Afternoon Off Program.��
