Mark D. Fidler, 67, resident of Milford, NH, died at his home on June 23, 2025, after a sudden illness.
He was born on October 16, 1957, in Boston, MA, a son of the late Stanley and Marie (Murray) Fidler, and brother to the late Mary Ellen Bettinelli.
He grew up in the city-neighborhood of Jamaica Plain, where he and his brother Robert Fidler endured the streets together.
After graduating high school, Mark enlisted in the Airforce serving four active-duty years as security police and eagerly meeting the love of his life, Janice Semonik. Shortly after, they married and moved to New Hampshire to build their home and family of four.
Mark would spend the next 25 years working for the Nashua Police Department. He developed his career by becoming a juvenile detective, swat team member, and completing it as a master patrolman. During his police service, he earned multiple letters of recognition, Policeman of the Year, the Medal of Valor, and his dignified nickname KidFid.
He retired from NPD in 2006 and started a new job at Northern Foreign Auto Parts spending the next 16 years as a delivery driver.
Mark was an avid sports fan. He was notably fond of Boston’s Bruins, Celtics, Patriots, and Red Sox. Many of his hobbies included horse racing, going to the gym, walking with his brother, walking his fur-baby Finnigan, playing his lottery, and his absolute favorite – quality time with his three grandsons. He truly adored reminiscing about his time on the department, and the brotherhood that was created with his closest friends.
He is survived by his loving wife Janice Fidler, his daughter Ashley, her husband Andrew Jenkins, their children Aaron, Ethan & Ryan, his son Michael, Michael’s girlfriend Nicole Villacorta, and his brother Robert and Robert’s wife Mary Fidler.
