Marilyn E. Zappala

Marilyn E. Zappala, 62, resident of Amherst, NH, died March 31, 2008 at her home surrounded by her family.� She was born in Lawrence, MA on August 18, 1945, a daughter of the late Domenic & Jennie (Archetti) Palmieri.� Mrs. Zappala had been a resident of New Hampshire for many years, having lived in Windham, Bedford and more recently in Amherst.� She and her husband wintered in Sarasota, Florida.� She was an avid tennis player.� � She was a loving and supportive wife, a devoted mother and grandmother who cherished spending time with her family.� � Mrs. Zappala was predeceased by a brother, Guy Palmieri.� Family members include her husband of 42 years, John F. Zappala of Amherst, NH; a daughter, Lisa Marie Zappala of Londonderry, NH; two sons and daughters-in-law, John D. & Colleen Zappala of Norfolk, MA, Christopher M. & Daniela Zappala of Sarasota, FL; two grandchildren, Emily and Anthony Zappala of Norfolk, MA; also survived by aunts, uncles, cousins, several nieces and nephews.� Calling hours are Thursday, April 3rd from 4:00-8:00 pm in the Smith & Heald Funeral Home, 63 Elm Street, Milford, NH.� Funeral services will be held on Friday at 11:00 am in the funeral home.� Burial will be in Meadowview Cemetery, Amherst, at a later date
