Marilyn J. Canada

Marilyn Jean Canada, 92, longtime resident of Brookline, NH, died on June 27, 2025, at the Courville in Nashua, NH, after a period of declining health.

(Marilyn) Jean was born on March 19, 1933, in Indianapolis, IN, a daughter of the late Charles and Faye (Junia F. Connor) Bushman.

(Marilyn) Jean married Bobbie R. Canada on Aug 18, 1956 in Belleville Illinois. They moved their family to Brookline NH in the summer of 1967 where they have lived since..

She enjoyed playing the organ and piano at various churches over the years. She had a huge love of music and could greatly appreciate all musical talent. She really appreciated those with the natural ability one would have if they played or could sing from deep within their heart. She could spot those who were truly blessed with this gift. She too could feel the music and could play the piano from deep within. A talent she longed to have and the ability was finally manifested to her in her later years which she said “was a true Gift from God”.

Marilyn had an incredible understanding of God and the Holy Spirit. Her lifetime passion was talking about how God communicates through His Spirit. She was a true witness to His Presence on earth, the real time presence of His Being, and The Truth of the Bible. In a world of so many spiritual counterfeits she was able to help you understand the reality of the Bible and who Jesus was and that He gave us His Spirit (The Holy Spirit). This was so we could have a personal friendship with Him and live the way He did on this earth. She had a true profound understanding.

Marilyn enjoyed time spent with her family, she loved all of her children and grand children deeply and prayed for each one daily. Although she was quiet she held them deeply in her heart. “Mamma” will be dearly missed.

Survivors include her loving husband, Bobbie R. Canada of Brookline, NH, and their daughters, Cheryl L Bourgeois, Sandra R Sarette (Wayne ), Susan L Levesque (Bob), her six grandchildren; Job Thistle (Faith), Zac Thistle (Rebecca) Josiah Bourgeois, Ryan Bourgeois(Justine), Rachel Sarette (Wyatt), and Christopher Bourgeois seven great-grandchildren; Hale, Aurora, Dorothy, Ari, Charlotte, Lucas and Suzanna; her sister, Beverly Gritton.
