Lillian A. “Lee” Grassett, 81, longtime resident of Amherst, NH died on April 9, 2026 at Southern NH Medical Center, Nashua, NH.
She was born in Boston, MA on May 27, 1944, a daughter of John J. and Lillian A. (Mahan) Roberts. She was raised in Jamaica Plain and later moved with her family to Milford, NH at the age of 12. Lee graduated from Milford High School, Class of 1962.
She had been employed as a teacher’s aide for the Milford School District for many years.
Lee enjoyed golfing, reading, working on crafts, vacationing in Florida in the winter and summering at Wallis Sands. Her greatest joy came from spending time with her family, especially attending all of her grandchildren’s sporting events.
She was predeceased by her husband, Robert K. Grassett, who died in 2017; and her brother, John E. Roberts.
Family members include her three sons, Kenneth Grassett and his wife Mary of Bedford, NH, Kurtis Grassett and his wife Jennifer of Hancock, NH, and Kevin Grassett and his companion Karyn Ridolofo of Amherst, NH; seven grandchildren, Emily Grassett & Joel Thai, Matthew Grassett, Kody Grassett, Kalbie Grassett, Joseph Grassett, Kimberly Grassett and Tom Crowley, and Jacob Grassett; a sister, Gail Roberts and her partner, Sandy Haynes of TN; a sister-in-law, Ann Roberts; several nieces and nephews.
Memorial visiting hours are on Thursday, April 16th from 4:00-7:00pm in the Smith & Heald Funeral Home, 63 Elm Street, Milford. A memorial service will be held on Friday at 10:00am in the funeral home. Burial will be in Cricket Corner Cemetery, Amherst, at a later date.
