It is with deep sorrow that the family of Kim T. Benson, announce his passing after a sudden heart attack, on Monday, February 12, 2024, at the age of 68. Former lifelong resident of Wilton, NH. Kim recently retired to St. Petersburg, FL with his wife Marcia.
He was born on December 24, 1955, in Merced, CA, the son of the late Paul and Janet (Hudson) Benson.
Kim was raised and educated locally in Wilton and graduated Wilton High School class of 1974. He worked for O.K. Tools right out of high school for many years. He then became a UPS driver and was very proud of the joy he delivered on every route.
A dedicated caregiver for 25 years to his grandfather, while being a loving husband, a supportive father and stepfather, and most of all the fun Grandpa! He cherished the time spent with his family, friends, and community. Watching Nascar, dancing, and spending time at the beach were a few of his favorites. Gathering together, cooking enough tacos and meatballs for everyone, and being there for family and friends, were some of the things that brought him the most joy! You could hear him whistling at the stove, causing ruckus around a poker table with the guys, chatting at the legion, or solving the world's problems, most likely with one of his dogs by his side. His dogs (Chase, Ricky & Maxwell) were his best buddies. Coming to everyone's rescue and solving problems before most knew they existed, was just how Kim was wired.
Kim was active in the Bent – Burke Post #10 of the American Legion, Wilton; a lifelong member of AMVETS POST #8 St. Petersburg; The Club National in Nashua. He was most in his element with The Old Homes Day crowd at Crotched Mountain Golf Course. Kim was a volunteer Wilton Firefighter for many years and a former member of the Lions Club.
Kim is survived by his loving, dedicated wife, Marcia (Tedford) Benson of St. Petersburg, FL. His son, Justin, his wife Amanda Benson of Amherst, NH and their three daughters; Molly, Scotty and Harper. Three daughters Jocelyn Benson of Wilton and two children Avian and Alyvia; Jillian and her husband Malcolm Phillips of Nashua, NH and their daughter Jaylyn; Jayma (Benson) Brissett of Wilton, NH, and her sons Cedric and Isaiah. Two stepdaughters; Christina Pagliuca of Milford, NH and three children Christian, Kaylee, and Dominic; Alexandra Pagliuca and fiancé Aaron Hanson of Berkley, MA; His sister, Paula (Benson) Lovejoy and her late husband Phillip of Greenfield, NH, the Mother of his children, Christine (Varney) Benson of Wilton, NH and many nieces, nephews and friends. He is predeceased by his grandparents Leroy & Grace Tuttle and sister Tara (Benson) Smith.
