Kenneth Mohler of Amherst, NH passed away peacefully on October 25, 2026, surrounded by the people he loved most. In every sense he left this world a better and more loving place than he found it.

Ken was born in Minnesota and spent his formative years fixing cars, catching Northern Pike, and working with his father, who was a one armed house painter. He enlisted in the Navy in 1958, and his interest turned to servicing nuclear weapons and seeing the world. His time in the Navy brought him to New Mexico, Hawaii, and Japan. Navy experience led him to his career at what eventually became BAE systems.

After his time in the service he made New Hampshire his home and raised a family of children who adored him. Being a father was what he was most proud of and he was never shy about showing it. Hearing him tell stories of what his kids were up to was when you would see the most genuine smile you ever did see. When a grandchild entered the picture this navy man became a navy teddy bear.

He enjoyed the simple things in life like a day on the slopes, a cold Coors Light, and time spent with family. Not necessarily in that order, and sometimes all at once. Among other things, Ken was a loving husband and a top tier father. He taught anyone that paid attention what devotion looks like, as there was quite literally nothing that he wouldn’t do for the people he cared about if he thought it would make their life easier. If you needed a ride to the airport he would be there, if you needed help fixing your steps, he would be there, and if you didn't need anything at all, he would still be there.

He married his wife Janetta in 1978 and from then on they were inseparable. It was rare that you would see one without the other anywhere other than the golf course. Through all of life's ups and downs, his was a love that never wavered, and never had to be questioned. To know him was to love him, and to love him will be to remember him.

He leaves behind his dear wife Janetta; his daughter Jennifer and son in law Chris; His daughter Julie and son in law Donnie; his son Scott and daughter in law Leah and his granddaughter Sofia.

“Don’t get so busy making a living that you forget to make a life”

-Often repeated advice from dad, likely from a Christmas Tree Shops sign.

Internment will be held privately for his family in the NH State Veterans Cemetery, Boscawen, NH.
