Judy B. Dexter

Judy B. Dexter, 81, of Nashua, NH, passed away peacefully at home on Monday, September 21, 2026, surrounded by the love of her family. In the months leading up to her passing, her family remained faithfully by her side, hoping for her recovery and making the most of every moment they had together.

Judy was born October 25, 1944, in Woodsville, NH, the daughter of the late Danny and Carol (LaFrance) Brill. She later graduated from Nashua High School and earned her bachelor's degree from Franklin Pierce.  

Judy dedicated much of her life to caring for children. She owned and operated Kiddie Karosel in Milford, NH for many years and later co-owned Growing Imaginations with her daughter, Tammie, continuing a family legacy of caring for generations of children. She also loved country-western dancing and the many friends she made there. She enjoyed riding her motorcycle, ice skating and numerous other outdoor activities.

Above everything else, Judy treasured her family. She was a loving mother, sister, aunt, grandmother, and great-grandmother, and being "Nana "was one of the greatest joys of her life. She was the heart of her family, loving each of them constantly and unconditionally. Her family never had to wonder how much they were loved by her. The foundation she created and the love she gave will continue through the generations that follow her.

Judy was predeceased by her grandson, Gage LaFontaine.

She is survived by her daughters, Tammie and Brian Paquette of Milford, NH; Laurie Saunders of Milford, NH, who shared the rare and special gift of having the same birthday as her mother, a day they loved celebrating together over seafood; and Tracie and Scott LaFontaine of Nashua, NH. Tracie became her primary caregiver, and shared many of life's everyday moments with her mother and spent precious time by her side.

She is also survived by her brother, Peter and his wife, Paula Brill of NH; her sister-in-law Dawn Perry of NH; her grandchildren, Krystel and Michael Sanchez, Chelsey and Joseph Tessier, Joshua and Sara Saunders, Tawni and Stephen Card, Justin McVey and Emily MacKay, Jacob and Shallyne LaFontaine, Brian and Kristin Paquette, Shawnee Saunders and Ethan Williams, Cameron LaFontaine, Jude LaFontaine, Tanner Paquette, and Jillian Dube; 20 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews and cousins.

SERVICES: Calling hours will be held Tuesday, September 29, 2026, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM in the Smith & Heald Funeral Home, 63 Elm Street, Milford, NH. Cremation will follow, and burial will be private.
