John Harry Berntson

John H. Berntson, died on April 8, 2010, after a very long illness. He was born in 1925 in Flushing, NY. John served in the Army Air Force in WWII, and once discharged, he worked as a carpenter daytimes and attended college at night, eventually graduating from the College of the City of New York - School of Business. John ran a home construction business for most of his working years. John is survived by his wife, Patricia of Milford, NH; son, Eric Berntson, his wife, Kathy and their three children, Kristoffer, Lauren and Alyssa, all of Blue Point, NY; daughter, Donna Brown, her husband, Archie Brown and their two daughters, Clara and Wendy, all of Milford, NH; son, John Kurt Berntson, his wife, Brenda and stepsons, Sawyer and Colby Herbst, all of Hampton Bays, NY. John is also survived by his sister, Helen McDonald, of Melville, NY; many nieces and nephews. There are no calling hours. Services will be held on Friday, April 16th at Long Island National Veterans Cemetery, Farmingdale, NY.
