John Everett Bellew, 84, lifelong resident of Milford, NH, died January 4, 2010 at The Elms Care & Rehabilitation Center in Milford. He was born in Milford on March 26, 1915, a son of the late Everett & Katherine (Casey) Bellew. Mr. Bellew had been employed as a truck driver for Teamsters Local #25, Medford, MA for 35 years and had also driven a truck along side his father for French & Heald Furniture Company, Milford. An avid outdoorsman, he enjoyed hunting and fishing. For many years, he raised Beagles and had been a member of the Beagle Club, Ashburnham, MA. Mr. Bellew was a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II and was honorably discharged in 1946. He had been a member of the Harley Sanford Post #4368 VFW and Ricciardi Hartshorn Post #23 American Legion, Milford. Mr. Bellew was a communicant of St. Patrick�s Church, Milford. He was predeceased by his wife, Claire L. (Rossi) Bellew, who died in 1989 and a son, Andrew Bellew, who died in 1999 and a brother, Neil Bellew. Family members include three daughters, Carol Gibbons and Katherine Stickney, both of Milford, Marie Reilly of Greenfield, NH; 12 Grandchildren; 4 Great Grandchildren; a brother, Robert Bellew of Milford and a sister, Rita Warren of De Bary, Florida; many nieces and nephews. There are no calling hours. A memorial mass will be held on Thursday, January 7th at 2:00 pm in St. Patrick�s Church, 34 Amherst Street, Milford. Burial with military honors will follow in Riverside Cemetery, Milford. In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to Share Outreach, 1 Columbus Avenue, Milford, NH 03055.
