Joana R. Dean, 26, resident of Keene, NH, died August 6, 2008 at Cheshire Medical Center, Keene, NH.� She was born in Nashua, NH on April 5, 1982, a daughter of Elizabeth (Ketchum) Wolczko of Amherst, NH and the late John A. Dean.� Joana lived in Keene, NH for the past 3 years and also resided in Williamsburg, VA for several years and Amherst, NH for most of her life.� She attended Souhegan High School, Amherst, NH and Lawrence Academy, Groton, MA.� Joana was employed as a payroll specialist for C & S Wholesale Grocers, Brattleboro, VT for the last two years.� She was a member of the American Gerbil Society and a devoted fan of Harry Potter.� In addition, she was a Girl Scout for many years, a big sister for the Big Brothers Big Sisters of America, and a hospice volunteer for Beacon Hospice.� She also sang for several years with The Keene Chorale.� Joana was a member of the Church of Our Saviour, Milford and sang in the choir.� She was also part of the fellowship of the First Baptist Church of Troy, Troy, NH.� While living in Williamsburg, VA, she was a member of Bruton Parish Church and the Pelham Choir.� She was also a tour guide at Colonial Williamsburg. ������������ In addition to her mother and step father, Peter Wolczko, family members include her fianc�, whom she was to marry on September 28th, Nathan Schmidt of Keene, NH; two brothers and a sister-in-law, Robert Dean of Fairfax, VA, Richard & Deanna Dean of CA; a sister, Caroline Cameron of VA, her stepmother, Marcia Dean of Nashua, NH; her maternal grandparents, Mr. & Mrs. John S. Ketchum of Williamsburg, VA; her paternal grandparents, Mary & Francis Dean of Leonardtown, MD; stepsisters, Christine Wolczko, Beth Garneau and her husband, Jim, Kimberly Mucci and her husband, Joseph; stepbrothers, Joseph Wolczko and his wife, Leah, Chad Casey and his wife, Natalia; several aunts, uncles, cousins and many beloved friends.� There are no visiting hours.� A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, August 12th at 1:00 pm in the Church of Our Saviour, 10 Amherst Street, Milford, NH.� A second memorial service will be held Saturday, August 16th at 1:00 pm in the First Baptist Church of Troy, 17 North Main Street, Troy, NH.� In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to the American Cancer Society, 30 Speen Street, Framingham, MA� 01701 or to your local hospice organization.�
