Jen Stangroom

JEN STANGROOM � DATELINE:�MILFORD, NH � Jen Stangroom passed away on October 13, 2007. � Jen was born on June 10, 1969 in Shirley, MA to Robert J. and Marian R. Stangroom.�She was preceded in death by her mother.�She is survived by her father, Robert; a sister and brother-in-law, Sharon and Eric; a brother and sister-in-law, Rob and Cathy and their children, Chris and Caileigh; many uncles, aunts and cousins. � Jen graduated from Milford Area Senior High.�In 1990, she graduated at the top of her class from the University of New Hampshire's Thompson School with a dual degree in Culinary Arts and Food Service Managements, the first dual degree awarded by Thompson School.�She was a master chef and her greatest passions revolved around helping others in need, the outdoors, animals, music and needlework.�At age 12, Jen became a member of the Appalachian Mountain Club's 4000 Footer Club for hiking all of the 4000 feet and higher mountains in New Hampshire.� � In lieu of a memorial service, a blog has been established online at www.jenstangroom.blogspot.com, where those who knew her can share their memories with everyone.�Donations in her memory may be made to the American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals, at www. aspca.org.�Smith & Heald Funeral Home, 63 Elm Street, Milford, is in charge of arrangements.
