Jeanne A. Coty, a woman of deep faith, kindness, and unwavering love for her family, passed away peacefully in Milford, N.H. on April 25, 2025. She was born in Coaldale, PA, on April 24, 1938, to James and Georgene (Young) Furey.

She is survived by her devoted husband of 54 years, Ernest Coty of Milford, NH; her sons, Michael Coty of Kittery, ME, and Thomas Coty of Gilsum, NH; daughters-in-law Brigid Murray and Kristin Dexter Coty; her sister Eleanor Phillips and brother-in-law John of St. George, UT; her brothers James Furey of Baltimore, MD, and John Furey and sister-in-law Dr. Jill Luscombe of Villanova, PA; as well as many beloved nieces, nephews, and cousins. She was predeceased by her sister, Mary Furey Parker.

Jeanne’s life was guided by faith, service, and a deep commitment to helping others. She graduated from Marian High School in Hometown, PA, and attended Immaculata University before dedicating 13 years to missionary work, including time in Guatemala. She later studied at the Coady Institute in Nova Scotia, focusing on leadership, economic, and social change.

Upon returning to the U.S., Jeanne lived and worked in Boston, where she met the love of her life, Ernie Coty. They married on November 14, 1970, in Keene, NH, and were blessed with two wonderful sons. While raising their family in Keene and later Dublin, NH, Jeanne worked as an administrative assistant at Keene High School and later at South Meadow School in Peterborough. She also earned her degree from Franklin Pierce College.

Jeanne’s warmth and generosity extended beyond her family. She was deeply involved in her sons’ Boy Scout troop, volunteering countless hours. A talented musician, she served as the church organist at Sacred Heart Church in Marlborough and Our Lady of the Snows in Dublin. Later, after moving to Milford, she worked at Gateways in Nashua and dedicated time to Share Outreach in Milford, always finding ways to give back to her community.

A woman of many talents, Jeanne was an accomplished seamstress who delighted in creating unique aprons . She was also a dedicated scrapbooker, leaving behind treasured memories for her family. In her later years, she found joy in music, reading, and tackling intricate 1,000-piece puzzles.

A funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, May 31, 2025 at 10:00 AM in the St. Patrick Church, 34 Amherst Street, Milford, N.H. and will be live-streamed on the Church’s Facebook page for those who are not able to attend in person. Burial and a celebration of life will be held in Keene, N.H. immediately following the Mass for family members.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Jeanne’s memory may be made to Share Outreach in Milford, NH, continuing her legacy of compassion and service.
