Janice Long Brown passed with peace and grace in her Florida home on May 13th with her family by her side. Predeceased by her loving husband Russell in 1997. Survived by their three sons Craig, Scott and Steven, her twelve grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren. Janice grew up in the small town of Mont Vernon, NH and then resided in her home in Amherst, NH until moving to Florida to be closer to her family. Janice graduated from Elliott Hospital School of Nursing in 1957. As a devoted mother she moved on to being more involved in her children’s day to day by becoming a crossing guard and dispatcher for the police station and then into banking where she held a management position with a love and passion for people and customer service. Janice’s expertise for caring for people is what made her the beautiful person we all loved. Anyone who came to her home felt loved and cared for as her door was always open and a hot pot of coffee was always ready with a homemade sweet treat. Her love for her grandchildren is where she was truly able to shine. She would spend hours cooking and preparing for her company. Memories of her backyard, gardens, cookouts and slip n slide adventures are those to hold dear. Jan was known for her kindness, generosity and quick sarcasm which gave many laughs over the years. Services and arrangements will be held privately with close family and friends. She leaves us rich in memories.
