Inez E. Merrill

Inez E. Merrill, 96, resident of Peterborough, NH died March 27, 2009 at Pheasant Wood Care & Rehabilitation Center in Peterborough. She was born in Greenfield, NH on October 30, 1912, a daughter of the late John & Anabelle Russell. Mrs. Merrill was raised and educated in Greenfield, NH and had lived in North Lyndeborough, NH for many years. She was a homemaker and enjoyed various types of handwork including, dress making, quilting and making rag rugs. In addition, she was an avid gardener. Mrs. Merrill was a member of the Francestown Congregational Church and the Oak Hill Grange, Francestown, NH. She was predeceased by her husband, Arthur F. Merrill, Sr. Family members include two sons and daughters-in-law, Arthur F. Merrill, Jr. & Anita Merrill of Milford, NH, Donald E. & Carol Merrill of Kentucky; five grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; a sister, Priscilla Atkinson of Greenfield, NH; several nieces and nephews. Visiting hours are Friday, April 3rd from 12:00-2:00 pm in the Smith & Heald Funeral Home, 63 Elm Street, Milford, NH, followed by a funeral service at 2:00 pm. Burial will be in Number Three Cemetery, Francestown, NH in the spring.
