Helen L. Saunders

Helen L. Saunders, 94, resident of Nashua, NH died October 3, 2008 at Greenbriar Healthcare Center, Nashua, NH.� She was born in Weare, NH on January 13, 1914, a daughter of the late George M. & Hazel F. (Tilton) Gunn.� Raised and educated in Weare, NH, she was a graduate of Weare High School and Houles Beauty Academy in Manchester, NH.� Mrs. Saunders resided in Westfield, MA and Hadley, MA for almost 30 years before moving to Mont Vernon, NH in 1994.� She had been employed at Smith College, North Hampton, MA and as a waitress at the Manchester Country Club.� Mrs. Saunders was a member of the First Church of Christ Scientist, Milford, the Mont Vernon Historical Society and Friends of the Library.� She was predeceased by her husband, Robert Saunders, who died in 1981.� Family members include her sister, Hazel G. Milligan of Mont Vernon, NH; a brother, George B. Gunn of Punta Gorda, FL; many nieces and nephews.� There are no visiting hours.� A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, October 14th at 1:00 pm in the Smith & Heald Funeral Home, 63 Elm Street, Milford, NH.� Burial will be in Pine Grove Cemetery, Weare, NH at a later date.� In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to the First Church of Christ Scientist, 103 South Street, Milford, NH� 03055.�
