Harold P. Bettle

Harold P. “Hal” Bettle, 58, resident of Milford, NH, died on January 10, 2016 at St. Joseph’s Hospital, Nashua, NH after a long battle with cancer. He was born in Englewood, New Jersey on August 1, 1957, a son of Jerry K. and Mary C. (Bigelow) Bettle. He made his home in Milford since 1986 and formerly lived in California for several years. Hal was a US Air force veteran. Hal was currently a professor at Southern New Hampshire University and Nashua Community College and had also taught at Daniel Webster College. He had a passion for teaching and learning and was working toward his PhD. Family members include his wife,Terry (Thaxton) Bettle of Milford; two sisters, Catherine Mihok of OH and Patricia Mauro of FL; several nieces, nephews and great nieces . At Hal’s request, there are no services. In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to the ASPCA of America. Arrangements are in the care of Smith & Heald Funeral Home, 63 Elm Street, Milford, NH.
