Glory Ann Bier, 82, resident of Wilton, NH, died August 2, 2008 at Harborside Healthcare Center-Crestwood, Milford. Born in Chicago, IL on July 4, 1926, she was the oldest of three children born to Edward & Evelyn (Fredrickson) Farmer.� She graduated from the University of Vermont and attended the University of Arkansas.� During the fifties, she worked as a market researcher for McCalls magazine and Mutual Broadcasting System in New York City.� After moving to New Hampshire with her husband, George A. Bier, she kept the books for the family business.� She was a trustee and treasurer for the Wilton Public & Gregg Free Library, and was treasurer of the Wilton branch of the Monadnock Food Co-op.� She volunteered organizing book sales for the Wilton library and Christmas Fairs for the Milford Unitarian Church.� She is survived by her brother, Edward G. Farmer of Underhill Center, VT; her sister, Carol Powers of Pound Ridge, NY; and her sons, Thomas Bier of San Diego, CA and Alexander Bier of Christiansburg, VA.� A memorial service will be held at 2:00 pm on Sunday, August 10th at the Unitarian Universalist Church, 20 Elm Street, Milford.� Memorial contributions can be made to the Wilton Public & Gregg Free Library, P.O. Box 420, Wilton, NH� 03086 or to your local animal shelter.�
