George O. Davis, Sr., 74, resident of Mason, NH, died on January 4, 2014 at The Elms Care and Rehabilitation Center in Milford. He was born in Grasmere, NH on December 31, 1939, a son of George E. and Alberta (Dion) Davis. George was raised, educated and lived in Brookline, NH for many years and made his home in Mason for the past 25 years. He had been employed as a machinist for O.K. Tool Company for several years and had also worked for the Town of Milford, Department of Public Works. George enjoyed building stone walls and was a very inventive and resourceful man. He was predeceased by his first wife, Suzanne Davis; two sons, Christopher Davis, Arthur Davis; and a brother, Edward Davis. Family members include his wife of 30 years, Paulette (Bibeau) Davis of Mason; two sons and daughters-in-law, John W. and Lorena Davis of Londonderry, NH, George O. Davis, Jr. and Pamela Davis of Greenfield, NH; a daughter and son-in-law, Gail and Carl Rowell of Lyndeborough, NH; many grandchildren; several great grandchildren; four sisters, Rose Hathaway, Freida Racicot and Clara Carrigan, all of Milford, Alberta DeMello of Brookline, NH; many nieces and nephews; and his beloved dog, Puggy II. Visiting hours will be held on Wednesday, January 8th from 6:00-9:00 pm in the Smith & Heald Funeral Home, 63 Elm Street, Milford, followed by cremation.
