George K. Disco, 69, resident of Amherst, NH, died May 17, 2008 at St. Josephs Hospital, Nashua, NH.� He was born in Hartford, CT on May 2, 1939, a son of the late Clarence C. & Mildred (Keene) Disco.� He graduated from Norwich Free Academy, Class of 1957 and the University of Notre Dame, Class of 1961.� He earned his masters degree in both mechanical engineering and engineering management.� Mr. Disco was a resident of Amherst for the past 42 years.� He had been employed as a program manager for Sanders Associates for 33 years, having retired in 1998.� Mr. Disco was an avid golfer and skier.�� He enjoyed boating, cooking and most especially, spending time with his family.� He was an active member and treasurer of the Webster Lake Association.� In his earlier years, Mr. Disco was a head Cub Scout Leader of Pack #22, Amherst and Treasurer of Amherst Pop Warner Football.� Mr. Disco was a communicant of St. Patricks Church, Milford.� He served in the U.S. Navy from 1961-1965.� Family members include his wife, Maureen (Walsh) Disco of Amherst, NH; three sons and daughters-in-law, Brian & Sheri Disco of Amherst, NH, Michael & Marcelle Disco of Brookline, NH, Greg & Christine Disco of Stow, MA; a daughter and son-in-law, Christine Disco-Lipkin & Paul Lipkin of Mont Vernon, NH; 9 Grandchildren; a brother and sister-in-law, Nelson & Carolyn Disco of Merrimack, NH; a sister, Marie (Disco) Sommer and her husband, Dr. Robert Sommer of Hingham, MA; 6 nieces; 5 nephews and their children.��� Calling hours are Thursday, May 22nd from 4-8 pm in the Smith & Heald Funeral Home, 63 Elm Street, Milford, NH.� A mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Friday at 11:00 am in St. Patricks Church, 34 Amherst Street, Milford.� Burial will follow in St. Patricks Cemetery, Amherst.� In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to Dana Farber Cancer Institute, 10 Brookline Place West, 6th floor, Brookline, MA� 02445-7226, Attn: Contribution Services or www.dana-farber.org
