Gene R. Shuten, Jr.

Gene R. Shuten Jr., 49, resident of Milford, NH, died peacefully at his home on September 10, 2016. He was born in Madison Heights, Michigan on January 22, 1967, the son of Jeannette (Maheux) Shuten of Martinez, GA and the late Gene Shuten. Gene was raised and educated in Laconia, NH. He had made his home in Milford, NH and had formerly lived in Nashua, NH. He enjoyed a rigorous fitness schedule as well as painting cars and motorcycles. In addition, Gene played the guitar and enjoyed working on his computer. He most especially loved spending time with his family and was extremely proud of his 5 children. Family members include his wife, Jennifer Shuten of Milford, NH; five children, Tasha Shuten of Easton, MD, Crystal and Samuel Dewyngaert of Nashua, NH, Chelsea Shuten of Nashua, NH, Stephen and Erica Caron of Milford, NH and Phillip Shuten of Milford, NH; five grandchildren, Triniti, Kyler, Sammy, Jace and Adeline; a brother and sister-in-law, Ronald and Elaina Shuten of Belmont, NH; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Beth and Jeff Freehof of Augusta, GA, Michelle and Jamie Nedeau of GA; many nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles. Memorial visiting hours are on Thursday, September 15th from 5:00-8:00 pm in the Smith & Heald Funeral Home, 63 Elm Street, Milford. A memorial mass will be held on Friday at 11:00 am in St. Patrick’s Church, 34 Amherst Street, Milford, NH.
