Ernest R. Hutchinson, Jr.

Ernest R. Hutchinson, Jr., 65, lifelong resident of Wilton, NH, died May 25, 2008 at St. Josephs Hospital, Nashua, NH.� He was born in Peterborough, NH on August 26, 1942, a son of the late Ernest R. Hutchinson, Sr. and Frances G. (Reynolds) Hutchinson Powers.� He was a graduate of Wilton High School, Class of 1960.� For the past 18 years, Mr. Hutchinson was employed as a sales engineer for Packard Machinery Company, Westford, MA and had previously been employed as the sales manager for the former Gateway Volkswagen Dealership, Nashua, NH for 27 years.� He was a member of Ducks Unlimited and a former member of the Wilton Lions Club and Pinnacle Mountain Fish & Game.� An avid outdoorsman, he enjoyed hunting, fishing, skiing and snowshoeing.� He was a loving husband, a devoted father and grandfather.� Family members include his wife of 41 years, Gretchen R. (Howe) Hutchinson of Wilton, NH; a daughter and son-in-law, Ann & Rad Nichols of Durham, NH; two sons and daughters-in-law, Eric & Ashley Hutchinson of Durham, NH, Jason & Monica Hutchinson of Somerville, MA; 4 Grandchildren, Libby, Corum, Charlie and William; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Mary & John Abbott of Greenville, SC, Corinne & Jim Cutler of Wilton, NH; several aunts, an uncle; many nieces, nephews and cousins.� Visiting hours are Thursday, May 29th from 4:00-8:00 pm in the Smith & Heald Funeral Home, 63 Elm Street, Milford, NH.� Funeral services will be held on Friday at 10:30 am in The First Congregational Church of Milford, 10 Union Street, Milford, NH.� Burial will be in Johnson Corner Cemetery, Lyndeborough, NH, at a later date.� In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to the Open Cupboard Panty, P.O.
