Ernest A. “Ernie” Savoy, 60, resident of Milford, NH, died unexpectedly and earned his angel wings on September 27, 2015 at Southern New Hampshire Medical Center, Nashua, NH. He was born in Athol, MA on July 3, 1955, a son of Alfred and Jeanne (Jean) Savoy. He was raised and educated in Athol, MA and made his home in Milford for the past 30 years. Ernie was currently employed as a machinist for Ferrotec (USA) Corporation in Bedford, NH for the past seven years and formerly worked for International Paper Box Machine Company in Nashua, NH for 20 years. He was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting, fishing and spending time at his camp in Pittsburg, NH. He most especially loved his family and was a #1 Papa. Ernie was predeceased by a brother, Timothy J. Savoy. Family members include his wife of 13 years, Tammy S. (Brown) Savoy of Milford, NH; a son, Dean R. Courtemanche and his partner, Erica Martin of Lyndeborough, NH; a daughter, Kristen A. Courtemanche and her partner, Seth Evans of Milford, NH; two grandsons, Logan J. Courtemanche and Jayden R. Evans; two brothers and a sister-in-law, Alan Savoy, Michael and Cathy Savoy, all of Athol, MA; a sister and brother-in-law, Annette and Bill Suzor or Orange, MA; many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins; and his beloved grand-dog “Harley”. Visiting hours are on Thursday, October 1st from 5:00-8:00 pm in the Smith & Heald Funeral Home, 63 Elm Street, Milford, NH. Funeral services will be held on Friday at 10:00 am in the Burns Hill Christian Fellowship Church, 419 Elm Street, Milford, NH, followed by cremation. In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to a charity that was near and dear to his heart, Easter Seals of New Hampshire/Webster Place (Drug and Alcohol Rehab), 555 Auburn Street, Manchester, NH 03101.
