Eric Matthew Smith

Eric Matthew Smith, 40, resident of Spokane, WA, died unexpectedly on February 2, 2020 at his home. He was born in Manchester, NH on October 16, 1979, a loving son of Douglas P. Smith of NC and Debra A. (True) Hyde of Wilton, NH. Eric was raised and educated in Amherst and graduated from Souhegan High School, Class of 1998. He had lived and traveled the country with numerous employment opportunities in his label printing career, leaving behind a legacy of successes, numerous business relationships and friends. He loved the outdoors, mountains, lakes, the ocean and camping. He will be remembered for his loving heart, generous and caring soul and warm smile. He was a caretaker and advocate for improving people’s lives. In addition to his parents, family members include his wife, Jessica (Wrobel) Smith; two brothers, Joel D. Smith and his wife Anna, Jared E. Hyde and his partner Jen Bartolomucci. Eric has an enormous family including grandmothers, Alice E. True and Betty B. Smith; nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins. Memorial visiting hours are on Friday, March 6th from 5:00-7:00 pm, concluding with a time of sharing, in the Smith & Heald Funeral Home, 63 Elm Street, Milford. Burial will be in Greenlawn Cemetery, Mont Vernon, NH at a later date.
