Edwin "Chid" Bernasconi

Edwin N. "Chid" Bernasconi, 97, former longtime resident of Milford, NH died February 18, 2008 at the Courville at Nashua.�He was born in Milford, NH on June 28, 1910, a son of the late Angelo P. & Jeanne (Pirovano) Bernasconi.�Mr. Bernasconi had been employed as the parts and service manager for Manchester Buick for many years.� He had also worked at Medlyn Motors in Milford.�He and his wife loved spending time at their cottage on Lake Deering and he also enjoyed gardening.�Mr. Bernasconi was a communicant of St. Patricks Church, Milford.� In addition, he was a member of the Milford Council Knights of Columbus #3035.�Chid and his wife were like a second set of grandparents to their niece, Janes children.�He was predeceased by his wife of 67 years, Gloria E. "Goo Goo" (Woods) Bernasconi, who died in 2005; his four brothers and two sisters.�Family members include three special nieces, Charlene Dooley of North Carolina, Judy Kay of South Carolina, Jane Provins of Brookline, NH; many grand nieces and grand nephews, including his goddaughter, Cathleen Saunders of Brookline, NH; his godson, Thomas Burbee of St. Louis, MO, Frank Burbee of Brookline, NH, Maureen Corron of Milford, NH, Jennifer Treacy of Brookline, NH; and his longtime friend, Ed Medlyn of Milford, NH.�
