Douglas J. Bianchi passed away peacefully on September 12, 2026 surrounded by family at the Community Hospice House in Merrimack, NH. He was born May 6th, 1947 in Nashua, NH. He was the son of David J. Bianchi and Edna M. Bianchi.
Douglas served his country in the United States Navy for 4 years, as Oil King.
In later years, Douglas worked at Economy Supply which he later purchased, and renamed as Bianchi’s Decorating.
Upon retirement, Douglas volunteered at the Milford VFW Post 4638 where he later became Commander and Quartermaster.
Douglas enjoyed golfing, fishing, and spending quality time with his family.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his Brother, John Bianchi, and Son in Law, Scott Vander-Heyden.
Douglas is survived by his loving wife Michelle Bianchi of 18 years, son, Jason Bianchi and his wife, Angel of Milford, NH, Daughter, April Vander-Heyden of Milford, NH, Son, Dallas Bianchi and his wife, Heidi of Milford, NH, Step-Daughter, Abigail Sullivan of Milford, NH, Step-Son, Nicholas Sullivan and his wife, Krystin, the mother of his three eldest children Carol E. Philbrick, and his constant puppy companion Rosie.
Douglas was survived by 10 Grandchildren, and 2 Great Grandchildren, along with other family and friends who will all sadly miss him.
Calling hours will be held on Friday, September 25th, 2026 at Smith and Heald Funeral Home, 63 Elm Street Milford, NH from 4pm to 7pm.
A brief graveside service will be held at Riverside Cemetery in Milford, NH on Saturday, September 26th, 2026 at 11am. Celebration of Life to follow at The Brickhouse Restaurant in Milford, NH at 12pm.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Liberty House located at 221 Orange Street, Manchester, NH 03104.
