Cynthia E Cox, 93, a near lifelong resident of Milford NH, died May 7, 2025, at St Joseph Hospital, Nashua, NH, surrounded by loving family.
She was born on October 6, 1931, a daughter of the late Earle and Marion (Leonard) Randall.
Cynthia was raised and educated in Milford schools, graduating from Milford High School class of 1948. She continued her education at Nashua Memorial Hospital, Mary Hitchcock Hospital and in Boston Ma. receiving her degree as an RN.
She was predeceased by her husband of 49 years, A. Dean Cox. Her brother Leonard “Buddy” Randall and sister Constance Randall Molis.
She is survived by her son Michael Cox and his wife Torey of Wilton NH. Son Randall Cox of Stanford KY. and daughter Marion Ryan and her friend Shayne Wright of Greenfield NH. Four grandchildren, Kendra Cox and her wife Chris Hatziemmanuel of Worcester Ma, Andrew Cox of Wilton NH, Jessica Cox of Danville KY and Joey Cox of Dayton Ohio.
Her 3 great-grandchildren, who referred to her as GG. Machais (Juno) Pagan of Worcester and Boston Ma. Brinley and Foster Cox of Milford NH and their mother Leah Morgano. And many nieces and nephews.
After receiving her RN degree, Cynthia worked in local hospitals in NH and Missouri before leaving the workforce to raise her children eventually returning to work at the Milford Nursing Home until retirement. She enjoyed knitting, sewing, reading and gardening. She was a lifelong member of the First Congregational Church of Milford where she was a member of the Laura G Heald club. Served on the Diaconate and at one time was church historian. She was also a member of the Lunch Bunch in Milford providing lunches to the elderly.
SERVICES: Calling hours will be held on Thursday, May 15, 2025, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM in the Smith & Heald Funeral Home, 63 Elm Street, Milford, NH 03055. A funeral service will be held on Friday, May 16, 2025, at 10:00 AM in the First Congregational Church of Milford, 10 Union Street, Milford, NH. Burial will be private.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Cynthia’s memory may be made to the First Congregational Church of Milford or the Milford Ambulance Service
