Clarence E. Richardson, 99, resident of Milford, NH, died November 27, 2008 at St. Josephs Hospital, Nashua, NH after a brief illness.� He was born in New Ipswich, NH on July 13, 1909, the son of Frank F. & Lula M. (Caroll) Richardson.� Mr. Richardson attended Amherst schools and graduated from Boston School of Professional Decorating, Boston, MA.� He was an interior and exterior decorator by trade and for many years, he did painting, paperhanging and plastering.� At the beginning of his career, he made and mixed his own paint.� Mr. Richardson had been employed by Hillsborough Mills for a number of years. He was a longtime member of The First Congregational Church of Milford serving as a Deacon and was Chairman of the Antique Show for over 49 years.� � He was a U.S. Army veteran having served during World War II.� He was a member of the Ricciardi Hartshorn Post #23, American Legion, Milford, Milford Historical Society, AARP, the Sons of The Union Veterans of The Civil War, serving as Camp Commander of Camp 38 and Camp 7.� He also served as Department Commander and Regional Commander.� In addition, he was a member of The New Hampshire Veterans Association, serving on the Board of Directors for many years and a member of The Rush Light Club.� �M r. Richardson was an Eagle Scout and belonged to the Order of The Arrow.� He served for many years as Scout Master of Boy Scout Troop #4, Milford, Troop #22, Amherst and on the Daniel Webster Board of Review for many years.� �� He was predeceased by his wife, Ruth (Wilson) Richardson; a daughter, Carol Ann Richardson; a great granddaughter, Delaney Diana Falcetti and two sisters, Ruth Parker and Esther VanBuren.� Family members include two daughters and sons-in-law, Cynthia & Victor Falcetti of Milford, NH, Betsey & Charles Dittmar of Raeford, NC; 5 Grandchildren, Lisa Patterson of Fayetteville, NC, Charles Dittmar, Jr. of Leigh High Acres, FL, Karen Davis of Lyndeborough, NH, Steven Falcetti and James Falcetti, both of Milford, NH; 9 Great Grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.� Visiting hours are Tuesday, December 2nd from 4:00-7:00 pm in the Smith & Heald Funeral Home, 63 Elm Street, Milford, NH.� Funeral services will be held on Wednesday at 1:00 pm in the First Congregational Church of Milford, 10 Union Street, Milford, NH.� Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery, Milford.� In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to Milford Special Needs, 6 Verona Street, Milford, NH� 03055, The Milford Historical Society, P.O.
