Cecile R. Lebel, 94, resident of Nashua, NH, passed away on July 1, 2017, at The Elms Nursing Home in Milford, NH. She was born in Fitchburg, MA on June 22, 1923, a daughter of Hector and Eugenie (Masse) Valliere, and one of four girls born to them. She was pre-deceased by sisters Louise Pelletier, Irene Payee, and Gertrude King. Cecile was married to, and predeceased by Ovila (Tony) Lebel of Nashua, NH. She was the mother of four children, Lawrence Mullen of NY who predeceased her, Marianne Dearness of Goffstown, Rita Cloutier of Milford, NH, and Robert Mullen of Mount Dora, FL. She is also survived by seven grandchildren, Lawrence Mullen Jr., of Mebane, NC, Kathleen Adragna of Keene, NH, Robert Harper of Swampscott, MA, Mark Ellis of Amherst, NH, Scott Harper of Manchester, NH, Bonnie Gorman of Goffstown, NH, and Katherine Mullen of Owensboro, KY; 13 great grandchildren,16 great-great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. Cecile found enjoyment working in the food service industry and spent many years being a short order cook at several places during her lifetime, including George’s Hot Dog Stand in Fitchburg, MA for 20 yrs., Sanders in Nashua, NH, Bradlees Dept. Store in Nashua, NH, Rich’s Department Store in Nashua, NH, and was a part-time wallpaper covering expert with many clients. She was an amazing singer and belonged to The Nashua Choral Society, and at The Nashua Senior Center where she participated in many of their shows including skits and singing alone, and in group. She traveled with her husband, Tony, and her singing group to Europe, staying in hostels, singing their way throughout Europe, enjoying the scenery and people they met. In addition, she volunteered at the Thrift Store at The Nashua Senior Center. She was an accomplished harmonica player, and also played the ukulele. She had a great collection of antique glass objects, and loved displaying her finds all over her home. Cecile also loved gardening, and had many beautiful flower beds, and house plants. She was also a lover of dogs, and had one until she could no longer care for her due to an injury. There are no visiting hours. A graveside service will be held on Thursday, July 20th at 11:00 o’clock, at St. Patrick’s Cemetery, 71 Derry Road, Hudson, NH.
