Carol J. Hatch, 80, resident of Milford, NH, died on February 18, 2026, at the Courville at Nashua, Nashua, NH.
She was born on August 7, 1945 in Berlin, NH, the daughter of Henry Milton Flint and Leona Francis (Brown) Flint. Carol was raised and educated in Bethel, Maine, having graduated from Gould Academy, Class of 1964. Carol was crowned the Winter Carnival Queen in Bethel and was also nominated as Miss Molly Ockett by the Bethel Historical Society. Carol attended Thomas College, Waterville, Maine, where she received her bachelor’s degree.
Carol was a devoted mother and was the kindest person you would ever know. She was a devoted Christian with a major musical talent. At the young age of 11, Carol played the Organ at all church services at her local church in Bethel, Maine. Carol received her master’s in music from Notre Dame College, Manchester, NH.
She was a communicant of Trinity Baptist Church, Nashua NH, where she worked as the choir director and music teacher before she suffered a massive stroke in 1990.
Carol or Mimi/Gramie was a loving mother and grandmother. She and her husband Dan worked with juvenile detention facilities trying to set youth in a positive direction once they were released. Many of the juveniles looked at her as a mother figure and others reminded them to behave around her.
She was predeceased by her husband, Daniel C. Hatch, who died in 2018; and her brother, Frank Lee Flint, who died in 2017.
Family members include her two sons, Michael D. and Melissa Hatch of Savannah, TX, Matthew H. and Danielle Hatch of Milford, NH; her grandchildren, Madeline Hatch, Keagan Hatch, Caydence Hatch, Mitchell Hatch and Braylin Hatch.
Visiting hours will be held on Monday, March 9th from 5:00pm to 7:00pm in the Smith & Heald Funeral Home, 63 Elm Street, Milford. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, March 10th at 12:00pm in the Trinity Baptist Church, 33 Lund Street, Nashua. Please join the family for refreshments and fellowship immediately following the service. Arrangements are in the care of Smith & Heald Funeral Home, 63 Elm Street, Milford.
