Bruce D. Avery

Bruce D. Avery, 77, resident of Amherst, NH died October 16, 2019 at Southern NH Medical Center, Nashua, NH. He was born in Melrose, MA on September 12, 1942, a son of the late Durwood R. and Alice G. (Shaw) Avery. A resident of Amherst for 50 years, he was raised and educated in Melrose, MA and graduated from Northeastern University. Bruce had been employed as a mechanic for most of his life and had worked for Bob’s Auto in Amherst. He was an avid Boston sports fan and enjoyed his home and playing pool. He was a U.S. Navy Vietnam Era Veteran. Family members include a sister, Kathleen Avery; and a brother, Jeffrey Avery, both of Amherst; several nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews Services are private. Burial will be in Meadowview Cemetery at a later date.
