Alice M. Moran

Alice M. Moran, of Milford NH, passed away on July 16, 2025, after a period of declining health. She was born on 12/07/1930, in Chelsea MA. She was a hard worker leaving high school to work at Cardy Box in Chelsea to support her siblings. She met the love of her life, the late John F. Moran, and they married November 22, 1950, residing in Revere MA. Shortly after their marriage Alice’s mother passed away and she became mother to her three siblings.

Alice was known for her humor, her heart of gold, and her love for animals and all things Boston Bruins. Besides being a homemaker, she was also a Mrs. Fix-it, always involved in painting a room or even building stairs. In the summer she could be seen mowing her lawn with her husband holding the mower’s electrical cord.

Alice always wanted to be a nurse, she would beam with pride with stories of working at the Shriner’s Burns Institute in Boston, MA. She also worked at Jordan Marsh in Boston as a switchboard operator.

In her younger days holidays were an all-day affair. Everyone from family, friends and neighbors was invited to come any time to enjoy. She was a wonderful cook.

Alice was predeceased by her husband, John F. Moran, her son John F. Moran; her brother James Dick; her sisters Patricia Strum and Donna Daley; and her best friends Agnes, Jean and Florence.

She is survived by her son Paul C Moran his wife Colleen Moran, and their sons PJ and Derek; her daughter Theresa M McKillop her husband Paddy McKillop, and their daughter Ceilidh and her husband Alec Picard; her grandson Scott P Crocker; her beloved sister in law Arlene Barnes; her nephew Mitchell Daley and his family; many other loved nephews and nieces from both sides of her family, and her son-in-law’s family across the pond.

She loved her Revere MA neighbors, her Milford NH neighbors and her new friends from Ledgewood Bay.

A private service is being held Tuesday, July 22, 2025, at Holy Cross Cemetery in Malden MA where she will be laid to rest with her beloved late husband.
