Alice M. San Martino

Alice M. San Martino, 86, resident of Nashua, NH, died August 14, 2008 at Greenbriar Healthcare Terrace, Nashua, NH.� She was born in Ontario, Canada on September 18, 1921, a daughter of the late William J. & Katherine (Thompson) Dennis.� Mrs. San Martino was a resident of Nashua, NH for more than 30 years and formerly resided in Wellesley, MA and had also lived in Italy and Germany.� She was a registered nurse having graduated from the Waltham Hospital School of Nursing and had worked for the American Red Cross. She was also a school nurse for Munich American High School in Germany. She received a degree in Social Work from New England College and worked as a social worker for the City of Nashua. � Mrs. San Martino was a communicant of Saint Joseph Church, Nashua, NH, where she was a Eucharistic minister.� She was predeceased by her husband, Nicholas J. San Martino, Sr. of Messina, Sicily who died in 1982.� Family members include a son, Nicholas J. San Martino Jr. of Charlestown, RI; two daughters, Rose-Ann Bryda of Fayetteville, NC and Kathryn San Martino of Sierra Madre, CA; nieces and nephews including Trudi Buckley of Nashua and three grandchildren, Marie Martell, Bethanie San Martino, Nicholas Ben San Martino.� There are no calling hours. A mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on�Saturday, August 23rd at 10 a.m. in Saint Joseph Church, 777 West Hollis Street, Nashua, NH.� Burial will follow in Riverside Cemetery, Milford.� In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to N.H. Catholic Charities or the American Red Cross.�
