William D. Luther

William D. Luther, 54, resident of Amherst, NH, died September 9, 2008 at his home.� He was born in Lowell, MA on October 11, 1953, a son of the late Richard C. & Mildred J. (Levasseur) Luther.�� Raised and educated in Lowell, MA, Mr. Luther was a resident of Amherst for the past 25 years.� He was employed as a property maintenance manager for Unicco for 15 years.� Mr. Luther was an avid outdoorsman, loved working in his yard, gardening, cutting and splitting wood, fishing, cooking and traveling. In addition, he enjoyed his annual vacation to Block Island and winter vacations to the Caribbean. �A loving husband and devoted father, he especially enjoyed spending time with his family. �Family members include his wife of 27 years, Denise M. (Ferrara) Luther of Amherst, NH; a daughter, Christin R. Sterlin of Phoenix, AZ; two sons, Thomas D. Luther of Lowell, MA and William D. Luther of Jamaica Plain, MA; a sister and brother-in-law, Nancy & Ron Montbleau of Lowell, MA; two brothers and a sister-in-law, Richard C. & Colleen Luther of Lowell, MA, Robert Luther of Neptune, NJ; a sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Linda & Dom Monaco of East Haven, CT; many nieces, nephews and cousins; his beloved dogs, Cairo, Jethro and Kenya.� Visiting hours are FRIDAY, September 12th from 4:00-8:00 pm in the Smith & Heald Funeral Home, 63 Elm Street, Milford, NH.� A memorial service will be held on SUNDAY, September 14th at 2:30 pm in the Unitarian Universalist Church, 20 Elm Street, Milford, NH.� In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to www.littlehandstohold.org.�
