Thelma, or Themmy as she was also known, was born in Brooklyn, NY on May 27, 1935. Her formative years were spent there, and up to the time of her death she always made sure you knew that she still had the Brooklyn in her, i.e., scrappy when necessary and street-wise. She was a champion roller skater in her early teens which led her to a modeling career. Her first marriage to Theodore Palumbo produced two daughters, Cynthia and Tracey. While raising her two daughters, she worked her way up the professional ladder to become an advertising executive in New York – a woman ahead of her time! During that time, she fell in love with and married Eugene Fenn, next to whom she will be buried in NJ. Together they travelled, enjoyed the theater and opera, and all that New York had to offer. Although she coped with a long period of ill health in her latter years, hers was a life filled with adventures, joy and love. She was generous to many people – certainly, her family and friends, but also privately to others in need. She enriched our lives and we count ourselves lucky to have known her.
