Robert W. Hooper

Robert “Bobby” Wallace Hooper, 63, of Normandy Way, Nashua, N.H. died at the Merrimack Community Hospice House on Wednesday, September 19, 2018, after an extended illness. Robert was born in Nashua, N.H. on April, 27, 1955, the son of Wallace K. and Charlene (Bohonan) Hooper. Bobby enjoyed pick-up trucks, cars, fishing, his bicycle, boating, and liked working with his hands, putting together model cars, jigsaw puzzles, and drawing. Bobby was a huge rock-n-roll fan and loved The Beatles and Elvis. Most of all Bobby loved his family. Never a private person, Bobby enjoyed large family gatherings; he loved to ask a lot of questions and got everyone laughing with his great sense of humor. Bobby also enjoyed club activities with the Plus Company and ran for the Special Olympics many years ago. Robert was preceded in death by his grandparents, Jonathan and Frances (Rawding) Bohonan, Nathaniel Frank and Helen (Kimball) Hooper, and his beloved aunt and uncle, Shirley (Bohonan) Boissonnault and Leonard Boissonnault. Survivors include his parents, Wallace K. and Charlene Hooper of Mont Vernon, N.H., three sisters and brothers-in-law, Audrey and Benjamin H. Dolloff, Sr. of Murdo, South Dakota, Linda and Walter L. Riendeau Jr. of Lyndeborough, N.H., and Laurie Ann and John Jolin of Goffstown, N.H.; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Jonathan R. and Brenda Hooper of Brookline, N.H. (who were Bobby’s guardians for the past two years and provided transportation to and from his medical appointments) and Gary and Pamela Hooper of Milford, N.H.; cousins Douglas, David, and Donald Boissonnault; 13 nieces and nephews; 23 great-nieces and great-nephews; and one great-great-niece. Robert is also survived by friends Clayton James Jr. and William and Clint Gordon. A special thank you to Robert’s caregivers of 18 years, Sunil and Anita Pokharel of Nashua, N.H. Robert’s family wishes to extend their gratitude to the Merrimack Community Hospice House for their care in his final days. A graveside service will be held on Friday, October 19, 2018, at 11:00 a.m. in Riverside Cemetery, Milford. Family and friends are welcome. In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to the Merrimack Community Hospice House, 210 Naticook Rd., Merrimack, N.H. 03054, or N.H.
