Robert E. Iannini

Robert Iannini, of Mont Vernon, passed away on April 3, 2023 from pneumonia just prior to his 85 birthday.


He holds many patents and is a world-wide recognized physicist in ultra-sonic and high voltage engineering. His earliest patent was the Rid-O-Ray home electronic bug killer after which he invented the commercial inside fly killer unit which is seen today in many grocery stores. He has also invented power supplies which can be used to power plasma globes and other neon devices. His love of inventing has led to some interesting items being tested for medical experimentation involving magnetic pulsing. He is also the author of many books including the Evil Genius series of electronic gadgets.


His current company, Information Unlimited Inc., was started in 1973 after the sale of Rid-O-Ray and is a web based company featuring his many inventions and the parts that go into them, many of which are again his invention. Information Unlimited, Inc. enjoys a world-wide audience including many universities and businesses.


Using his knowledge and creativity not just for his professional accomplishments but to also come up with activities for his family and grandchildren as he entertained those he loved in a house many considered a home.


He is survived by his wife, Ann, daughter Sharon Gordon of Swanzey, NH and her husband Ron, son Christopher Upham of Milford, NH; granddaughter Liz Weisenhoff, of Andover, MA and husband Michael; stepchildren, Roger Royer of Bow, NH and wife, Melody, Suzanne Royer-Schultze of Queensbury, NY and her husband, Stephen, Melissa Little of Canterbury, CT and her husband David. He is also survived by stepchildren, Charles Willard of Hancock, NH, James Willard of Temple, NH, Vicki Upham of Milford, NH and her husband Richard and Herbert Willard of Merrimack, NH and his wife, Lucianna; numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.
