Richard P. Spargo died on April 16, 2019 at the age of 82, in Nashua, NH. Richard is survived by his wife Constance, children Glenn Spargo (wife Lorna), Cheryl Andrews (husband William) and Brian Spargo (wife Jennifer), grandchildren Caitlyn Andrews (wife Kristen), Kimberly Amicangioli (husband Michael), Tara Berry (husband Daniel), Ian Andrews (wife Lea), Samantha Spargo, Daniel Spargo and Sarah Spargo, great-grandchildren Nora and Michael Amicangioli. Richard was born in Boston, MA, son of Howard C. and Ethelyn B. (Saunders) Spargo. He graduated from Boston University with a degree in Geography, and was in the Army ROTC. He married Constance Baker in 1958. He worked for Singer Sewing Machine Co, and as the New England Regional Sales Manager for YKK Fastening Products Group. Richard was active in the Boy Scouts, achieving the rank of Eagle Scout, a member of the Order of the Arrow, and a Unit Commissioner. He was a Master Councilor in the Order of DeMolay, Crusader Chapter, Dorchester, MA, degree of Chevalier, Master Mason, Benevolent Lodge No. 7, Milford, NH, and a 32nd Degree Scottish Rite Mason, Valley of Nashua, NH. He was a member of Bektash Shrine. Richard was a veteran, captain U.S. Army, and a member of the Army Reserves. Dick and Connie loved camping and were members of the Good Sam Club Puckerbrusher chapter. A memorial service will be held on April 27th at 11:00am in the Amherst Congregational Church, 11 Church Street, Amherst, NH, with a reception to follow. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Richard’s life.
