Raymond J. Vesey

Retired Air Force Technical Sgt. Raymond J. Vesey, 71, resident of Nashua, NH, died on May 23, 2016 at Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center, Lebanon, NH. He was born in Lowell, MA on August 27, 1944, a son of James P. Vesey, Sr. and Blanche (Bouchard) Vesey. He was raised and educated in Lowell and graduated from Lowell High School, Class of 1964. Shortly after graduating from high school, Mr. Vesey entered the U.S. Air Force and served for 20 years. A veteran of the Vietnam War, he was honorably discharged on May 31, 1984, with the rank of Technical Sergeant after receiving numerous commendations and service awards. He was a member of the Neighborhood Watch Program and the AFSA. He enjoyed working in the yard and building model airplanes. Mr. Vesey was predeceased by a brother, Francis L. Vesey. Family members include his wife, Susan E. (Burns) Vesey of Nashua, NH; a brother, James P. Vesey, Jr. and his wife, Violet of Nashua, NH; a niece, Evelyn P. Danforth of Nashua, NH; a nephew, Francis R. Vesey and his wife, Jennifer of Manchester, NH; a great niece, Francesca Vesey of Manchester, NH; and his goddaughter, Aspen M. Long of Nashua, NH. Memorial visiting hours are on Tuesday, May 31st from 4:00-7:00 pm in the Smith & Heald Funeral Home, 63 Elm Street, Milford, followed by a memorial service at 7:00 pm.
