Phyllis G. Merrick

Phyllis Grace Merrick, 90, passed away peacefully on January 10, 2015, after a period of failing health. She was the daughter of Margaret S. Merrick and Merton F. Merrick of Maynard, MA. She was a native of Maynard and moved into the Hunt Community in Nashua seven years ago. After graduating from Maynard High School she went on to Boston University, earning a Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree. During her professional life she held Executive Administrative Assistant positions at Harvard and MIT. In her free time she was an active participant in the choir at Maynard Congregational Church. She was predeceased by her parents and a brother, Clyde Douglas Merrick. Survivors include a brother, David Rand Merrick, Amherst, NH; nieces, Amy Spencer, Milford, NH; Tammy New, Burlington, VT; Debra Villeneuve, Houston, TX; Kathleen Swanson, Denver, CO; and a nephew, Glen Merrick, Denver, CO; and her best friend, William Barker, Lincoln, MA. The family would like to thank the nurses and staff at the Hunt Community for the loving and compassionate care they provided. At the request of Miss Merrick there will be no service. Interment will be held at a later date.
