Pauline H. Woods, 92, longtime resident of Milford, died February 10, 2010 at The Courville Nursing Home in Nashua, NH. Ms. Woods was born in Nashua, NH on January 22, 1918, a daughter of the late Charles J. Woods, Sr. and Eva M. (Racine) Woods. She was a graduate of Milford High School, Class of 1937 and St. Joseph�s Nursing School, Nashua, NH, Class of 1941. Ms. Woods enlisted in the U.S. Army Nurse Corps during World War II and was head nurse of the operating room at Grenier Field in Manchester, NH and was later stationed at Camp Kilmer in New Jersey as head nurse. Captain Woods was honorably discharged from active duty in 1947 and transferred to the Army Reserves. Following her military service, she had been employed as a district school nurse in the Milford and Amherst area. Ms. Woods was a communicant of St. Patrick�s Church, Milford. She was a loving sister, a devoted aunt and great aunt. Family members include her sister, Marion Dube of Milford, NH; a niece; a nephew; many grand nieces and grand nephews. Calling hours are Friday, February 12th from 2:00-4:00 pm in the Smith & Heald Funeral Home, 63 Elm Street, Milford, NH. A mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Saturday at 12:00 noon in St. Patrick�s Church, 34 Amherst Street, Milford. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery, Milford, with military honors.
