Patrick J. Magee, 79, resident of Milford, NH died January 6, 2016 at his home surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Minneapolis, MN on February 14, 1936, a son of Herbert and Anne (Waite) Magee. Mr. Magee made his home in Milford for more than 10 years and formerly lived in Vermont and Oklahoma for many years. He was an anesthetist at St. Mary’s Hospital in Enid, Oklahoma for 30 years and had also worked at Northeastern Vermont Regional Hospital in St. Johnsbury, Vermont. In addition, Mr. Magee held many memberships in various professional organizations. He enjoyed gardening, traveling, cooking, technology and was an avid Red Sox fan. He also loved to spend time at the ocean and was a member of the New England Lighthouse Lovers. Mr. Magee was a communicant of Parish of the Resurrection, Nashua, NH and a member of the Knights of Columbus. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army. Mr. Magee was predeceased by a brother, Dennis Magee. Family members include his wife, MaryAnn (Sousa) Magee of Milford, NH; three children, Michael Magee of Bedford, NH, Heather Pfriem of Bixby, OK and Brian Magee of Springdale, AR; and seven grandchildren. Calling hours are on Friday, January 8th from 6:00-8:00 pm in the Smith & Heald Funeral Home, 63 Elm Street, Milford, NH. A mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Saturday at 9:30 am in the Parish of the Resurrection, 449 Broad Street, Nashua, NH, followed by cremation. Burial will be in the New Hampshire State Veterans Cemetery, Boscawen, NH, at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Parkinson Disease Association, New Hampshire Chapter, P.O. Box 838, Manchester, NH 03101-9715.
