NORMAN W. BEMIS DATELINE:�MILFORD, NH Norman W. Bemis, 75, resident of Milford, NH, died December 17, 2007 at the Ridgewood Center in Bedford, NH, after a courageous battle with cancer. � He was born in Concord, MA on October 4, 1932, a son of the late Warren & Mabel (Astwood) Bemis. � Mr. Bemis was a graduate of Maynard High School, Maynard, MA, where he had lived for many years and later moved to Milford in 1969. � He worked for Warren E. Bemis Plumbing & Heating in Maynard, MA.�He was later employed by RCA in Burlington, MA, where he retired from in 1988. � Mr. Bemis was a member of several organizations, including the Benevolent Lodge #7 F & AM, Milford, the Scottish Rite Bodies Valley of Nashua and the Bektash Temple A.A.O.N.M.S.�In addition, he was a member of the Pinnacle Mountain Fish & Game Club, Greenfield Drawbar Harness Tractor Club and the Power Squadron. � Mr. Bemis was a U.S. Army veteran having served during the Korean Conflict. � He was predeceased by a brother and sister-in-law, Donald & Arlene Bemis. � Family members include his wife of 50 years, Elizabeth Betty (Murray) Bemis of Milford; a daughter and son-in-law, Deborah S. & Bill Densmore of Dade City, FL; a sister-in-law, Louise Murray of Dade City, FL; a niece; a nephew; and his beloved cat, Marmalade. � Visiting hours are Wednesday evening, December 19th from 5-8 pm in the Smith & Heald Funeral Home, 63 Elm Street, Milford, NH.�A Masonic service will be held at 7:00 pm.�Funeral services are Thursday at 10:00 am in the funeral Home.�Burial will follow in Riverside Cemetery, Milford.�In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to the American Cancer Society, Gail Singer Memorial Building, 360 Route 101, Unit #8, Bedford, NH�03110-5032 or to the charity of one's choice.�For more information or to sign an online condolence, go to www.smith-heald.com
